About the Author

Kathy grew up in England and attended the University of Birmingham, where she graduated with a degree in psychology. A Master’s degree followed by a PhD led to a career as a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, with her time divided between clinical work and lecturing, and she enjoyed both equally.

For half her adult life, she has lived in New Zealand, which she fell in love with at first sight. She now lives on the South Island with her husband and two cats in a small coastal community north of Dunedin. The view from her window is a stunner-see the photo- and never fails to inspire, whatever the weather. Writing has always been part of Kathy’s life, although creative writing is a fairly new challenge.

Her hobbies are gardening, reading, walking on the many beaches along the Otago coast, and, when she has the chance, she loves to travel to visit historic towns and villages, castles and stately homes, or anywhere that enables her to step into the past.
